When one of our founders Mel, was growing up in Mauritius, stray dogs were everywhere.

On beaches.
Near towns.
Along roads.

Some survive thanks to kind locals. Many don’t.

One of the biggest reasons the stray population keeps growing is uncontrolled breeding. Without humane programs in place, thousands of puppies are born every year into extremely difficult conditions.

A Small Action That Makes a Real Difference

This fundraiser supports Steriliz Ou Zanimo, a Mauritian animal welfare organisation working to humanely reduce the stray dog population through veterinary programs.

Their work helps:

Prevent unwanted litters
Reduce suffering and disease
Improve the welfare of stray dogs
Create long-term population control

Why We’re Doing This

Lenny’s Pup Shop is still a small business, less than two years old.

We’re not a multinational company with large corporate budgets, but we do have an incredible community of dog parents who care deeply about animals.

Since we’ll be travelling to Mauritius soon, we wanted to use our platform to help raise funds for these neutering campaigns.

Lenny’s delightful treats are to be given as occasional rewards rather than meal replacements. Rest easy knowing our treats are 100% Aussie-sourced. Single-ingredient. HACCP & FoodSafe certified. Our treats are strictly for pets, and are not suitable for human consumption.

Our promise

We set out on a mission to share the love and happiness that dogs bring to our lives. Lenny like many other dogs, is allergic to chicken. This made it very hard for us to find good treats for him that didn’t contain poultry and/or other preservatives- especially at pet stores. This motivated us to work towards our own line of 100% Australian single-ingredient protein treats, with no preservatives or nasties.
